I.Y.H.A. Membership Card and International Hostel Guide
The International Guide to Youth Hostels is published by the International Youth Hostel Federation (I.Y.H.F.). It contains information about youth hostels in Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania, including details regarding accommodations, basic prices of B&B, contact information and even maps and tips.
The guide can be purchased either at the I.Y.H.A. offices in Jerusalem or at any of the Guest Houses. The guide costs 50 NIS.
The Membership Card issued by the I.Y.H.A. (for individuals, families or groups) provides reduced rates on accommodations and local tourism sites. Overseas, the card enables the holder to obtain accommodations at some 4,500 hostels in over 60 countries.
The membership card can be purchased either at the I.Y.H.A. offices in Jerusalem or at any of the Guest Houses. The purchase must be done in person (cannot be done over the phone). No need to bring a photograph.
The membership card costs 60 NIS and can be paid for with a credit card.
The I.Y.H.A. Main Offices are located in Jerusalem, Zalman Shazar 1, 6th floor of the International Convention Center (Binyanei Ha'umah).
